Biography: Connie serves as the consultant to Stepping Stone's clients, seasoned by practicing financial planning and income tax preparation with people across the financial spectrum since 1986.
Before co-founding Stepping Stone Financial, she most recently served as a senior consultant and manager of executive engagements for senior corporate executive clients of a Fortune 500 national bank. Earlier, she consulted in a fee-based boutique-style financial planning firm, a mutual fund company and as a benefits counselor for the State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio.
Connie believes that education is the best investment. She taught personal financial planning as an adjunct faculty member for the College of Financial Planning and various non-profit organizations devoted to enhancing financial education and self-sufficiency. She currently serves as a board member of the Ohio Tuition Trust Authority in the Northeast Ohio Region. She also served on the board of the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals and continues her long-time membership in the Financial Planning Association. Connie continues to engage in public outreach through the CFP Board and the Financial Planning Association's Pro-Bono Financial Planning Services, local libraries, and other community projects. Connie often provides research material for journalists and has been quoted in The Plain Dealer, Newhouse News, the Journal of Financial Planning and other publications.
Connie graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. She's a Certified Financial Planner® professional and Accredited Tax Preparer®. Connie inactivated her insurance and investment sales licenses after two years, in favor of providing unbiased, fee-only planning.
