Biography:
Mark Swartz is an independent financial advisor with nearly two decades of experience in the financial services industry. He specializes in developing unique financial strategies that help clients build and maintain a pension for their retirement.
As founder of Mark Swartz Investment Services, Mark is focused on educating people about the best possible solutions to address their investment needs. He believes strongly that by helping clients understand the risks and rewards of individual investments, they will be better able to make the best possible financial decisions to meet their needs.
As further evidence of his commitment to financial literacy, Mark has taught investment classes for major Northern California employers including Sandia National Lab, BART, the San Francisco Police Department, Valley Care Health System and Simpson Strong-Tie Manufacturing, as well as for students at Cal State University East Bay Extended Education program. He is also a former faculty member of Las Positas College Community Education program where he taught Financial Strategies for Successful Retirement to hundreds of pre-retiree for over 10 years.
Mark holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin. He holds the following industry licenses: Series 6, 7, 63 and 65, and he holds an insurance license in CA, HI, IL, NV and TX.
Personal Details:
A father of two children and grandfather of three, Mark enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf and staying active in his community. He is a member of Alameda Friendly Visitors, a volunteer organization providing weekly visits to people confined to hospitals, homes or facilities.
